The Sims, already the top-selling video game in the world of all time, has officially sold more than 100 million copies since its launch in 2000.
The brainchild of industry icon Will wright, The Sims has been translated into more than 20 languages and spawned dozens of expansion packs, and doesn't show any signs of stopping. The Sims 3 is already on the docket, with a release date set sometime in 2009.
Joystiq pinged The Sims brand studio head Rod Humble Wednesday to get more info on the milestone and the Sims' wild success over the years, including which expansion packs have really piqued players' interests.
"Right now our players are keen to playing an expansion pack that focuses on living in a big city...other ideas I've seen in the community include a rave/party pack and science fiction pack," Humble said, humbly.
